Gavin and Lyla' s story continues in Once A Crime Lord with more intriguing characters to meet! These characters not only add to the story but leave you wanting to know more about them and what comes next. But the conclusion of Gavin and Lyla' s story ending in Hell is one of the most thrilling, exciting, HOT, sexy, and shocking rollercoaster ride of emotions and story that can't be missed! This series literally had my heart racing, me holding my breath and had me on the edge of my seat the entire time! Mia Knight is a spectacular author, who not only creates another world to escape into but one you dive into and don't ever want to escape from! Crime Lord Series is one of the best series I have read in a long time! Mia Knight has left me craving for more much more!

So far this author is 3 for 3!!! Make sure before you read this book you read the first 2. Captured by the Crime Lord and Recaptured by the Crime Lord. They are definitely meant to be read in succession. This author does such a great job of making you fall in love with these characters even though most of them have very dark sides. I am on the edge of my seat waiting for more books to come from Mia Knight. Hopefully giving us more pieces to this engaging addictive story!!!
Clearly, nothing is ever going to be easy for this couple. How much can a person stand and still be whole at the end? What is couple goes through to be together is beyond belief. Lyla has become a much stronger person through out their journey and it definitely shows in this book. Gavin has always been a crazy, unstoppable force and he doesn't change for sure. But they are now a team and determined to make their life work for their family. I am really looking forward to more books in this series, as there are so many other interesting side characters. Great series, Mia. Keep it up.
I really didn't have a clue what I was getting into reading this book. I accidentally read this book first, so I didn't have all the background of the story but I must say this story was phenomenal! I absolutely loved every breathtaking moment of this story! The author certainly knows how to write a compelling and intriguing suspense story.

I would love to have read the stories in order, however there's not much I can do about it now! I'm going to have to get busy backtracking, but I am certain I will enjoy the ride!
Don't ever underestimate a woman, especially a woman desperate to protect her family! We all knew Gavin would fight lie hell for Lyla and Nora, which he did. Blade and Angel also fought for family, no doubts they would. Lyla figure out who the man is that tortured her and killed Manny; the ma n responsible for her nightmares at that moment she turned into a savage and put an end to him. Nobody could believe who it was, not someone you would expect. This book is amazing with all its twists and turns. The sex is hot, the violence keeps you on the edge of your seat. It is such a hard book to put down. Loved the series, one of the best series I have read. Highly recommend
I don’t know if I have the words to truly describe how much this series has captured my attention. I read this over a year ago and STILL I am obsessed with the characters and world Mia Knight has created here. There are few characters like Gavin Pyre that possess his level of obsession with his love, Lyla, as well as his ruthlessness for anyone that dares bring harm to her.

This book picks up after the cliffhanger of an ending in the previous book. We finally get answers to many of our questions, the main one being, “Who is the current ‘Crime lord’ ruling over Vegas and responsible for Vinny and Manny’s deaths, as well as the attack on Lyla in the mansion?” Not only does this reveal happen in such a twisted, dark way, we also get introduced to a new character that will have you questioning if there is something wrong with you for finding him so interesting. I cannot wait for his book, or for the other books that will follow in the series.

Such a satisfying conclusion to a series that has been at the top of my lists for the last year and a half!
Each consecutive book became more exciting. I forgot to mention in my review of book 2 that I enjoyed also getting Gavin's point of view. I am absolutely not ready to say farewell to these characters. I would love a Prequel and or a spin off of any of the characters..Blade..Manny' s youth and love story,the Roman clan in NYC. I think Mia spins a fascinating,thrilling,erotic,unforgettable tale with larger than life characters and one of the most "interesting" love stories I have read and the process of determining who is the Sadist was quite intriguing .There is necessarily quite a bit of violence appropriate to the storyline and not overly graphic. The heroine.'s gradual conversion to the badass she must be is a thing to behold as is the humanizing and conversely more violence propagating effect Layla has upon Gavin.The greatest compliment I can give this author is that I rarely go outside of KINDLE UNLIMITED...but when book one was on sale for 99¢ ,I could no longer resist.
This was an absolute awesome ride. Book 3 couldn't have been any better than what I just finished.

Wow, just wow. Mia has created a series with everything you could possibly want in a series. Yes there is always a hot lead guy and I have to say Gavin was pretty freaking awesome but it was so good to see Layla step out from herself and flourish into this badass mama who fought for her family and won.

Their love for one another was epic. I am glad Jonathan survived and was more that what he showed. It didn't surprise me at all and am glad Gavin employed him.

Blade was just next level awesome and especially looking out for Layla even against Gavin. Look forward to his book.

Carmen was solid and Angel was a nice new addition as well as Marcus. Lucifer was a surprise character.

Can't wait to see where this series goes.
